Meet the Doctors
Dr. Jeffrey Drayer graduated from Cornell University where he majored in Nutritional Sciences. He received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Stony Brook University. He completed his postdoctoral program in Orthodontics at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. He is the recipient of the “Award for Exceptional Interest in the Development of the Oro-Facial Complex” presented by the American Association of Orthodontists.
He is an active member of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists. He is certified and proficient in treating both adults and adolescents in Invisalign.
Dr. Drayer’s hobbies include running and weightlifting.
Dr. Merissa Blais is a specialist in Dentofacial Orthopedics and Orthodontics. She completed her Orthodontic training at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and holds her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Columbia College of Dental Medicine, where she graduated at the top of her class and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honor Society. Before completing her orthodontics training, she worked as a general dentist serving children and adults.
Dr Blais treats young children (typically starting at age 7), teens, and adults alike with a gentle touch and a great sense of humor, immediately putting every patient at ease. Dr. Blais is very passionate about Orthodontics and her primary goal is to provide each patient with tailored, individualized treatment to achieve a beautiful, natural smile and an ideal bite. She always takes the time to give each patient the care and attention he or she needs.
No stranger to the Northeast, Dr. Blais grew up in Providence, Rhode Island, completed her undergraduate degree at Wesleyan University (Middletown, CT) majoring in pre-medicine and French studies, and lived, trained and worked in New York City for over five years.
Dr. Blais is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the New York County Dental Society. She resides in Southern Connecticut with her husband and in her free time, Dr. Blais enjoys visiting family and friends in New York Ciry, Boston, and Rhode Island, working out, or trying a new restaurant. A former college athlete, Dr. Blais loves keeping active and fit, and is always looking for new ways to help patients maintain a healthy smile from the inside out as well as from the outside in.
